ended at the climax (spoilers maybe)

the whole way the story is set up, the falling action, wheres my falling action, wheres my real clmax, we need the character to do some fuc...ing justice to the business, not just sit there with a pain killer up his ass.

I wanted more too, but it ended at a perfect note. I love re-watching that ending. I've probably seen the last 2 minutes 20 times. I just love his face expression - he's so pissed. And then that music.

Really good stuff.

I agree with the OP...the ending was horrible: I know it would have been cliche but I think he should have gone up there and stood up for his show.

I call movies that are considered 'bad' hated movies.

Standing up for his show would have been the standard Hollywood ending but I think they were going for realism. In the real world most people have to suck it up because they cant afford not to. Mike Klein had a family to provide for and he could not afford risk losing the show. Sad but true.

still .. all this time it felt like "when is he finally going to burst?!" "How much more of Weaver's cr*p is he gonna take?!!" .. and NOTHING.

i am so surprised that no one picked up on the fact that the whole film is itself a tv pilot. Think about it. The ending is the perfect way to setup a series.

that's exactly what i thought. The ending left me wanting more and this would be a great series.

if he had stood up for his show, it would be a movie like any other movie, which means ironically he'd be *just like the TV show he hates*...lol. so the movie is vindicated by his willingness to slide into mediocrity.
