Well, what is shown is mostly true. However, I think when it comes to men and women one could make the case that strict equality is not always the case. Perhaps it is like the old segregation idea of "separate but equal" since the Mormon church believes that men and women have different roles. For instance, Mormon women cannot hold the priesthood.

How, exactly, does forbidding women from holding the priesthood make women 'equal', separately or otherwise?
shareI think the essence of my response indicated a lack of equality in the Mormon church's approach to gender. I'm afraid you didn't really look at what I posted very carefully, or with a proper knowledge of history. In the old "separate by equal" segregation days there seldom was true equality in the way it fell out.
