finally saw it

I finally saw this movie, having long avoided it because I heard it was horrible. I lurked on this board though for quite some time, mostly following Jeff around years ago (since I ran into him on the "Latter Days" board). I had expected the movie to be absolutely horrid, but instead, thought it was better than I had anticipated.

I wouldn't call myself violently anti-mormon, nor pro-mormon. I just watched the movie and thought it was fairly "ok"- not "great", but not "bad." It seemed a fairly realistic interpretation of what could have happened due to the hysteria at the time in LDS history. I of course know nothing about all the true facts, but the film rang somewhat true or believable.

I guess I was anticipating a very anti-mormon film, but it didn't feel that way to me at all.
