Anyone who believes Bringham Young and the other church leaders did not authorize these killings are just kidding themselves. Even historians believe they were involved from the beginning. The true face of the Mormon Church.

How is this true face of the Mormon Church? This face that is nearly 200 years old? Churches are organic, changing with their people. Modern Mormon Church is completely different than the old church in a number of ways. While I find the Mormon Church to be abit hokey, most religions are pretty stupid if you put any real thought into the doctrines. At least most Christians, including Mormons, seem like decent people. This movie-event hardly represents the Mormons of today just as the inquisition does not represent the modern Catholics.

Brigham Young had sent a letter telling the local leaders to allow the immigrants to pass in peace. His letter got there a day late. If you have any evidence, anything at all, to contradict this fact, I'd love to hear it.

I think Brigham Young and the MMM is similar to Richard Nixon and Watergate. In both cases they were not in on the planing, but they participated in the cover-up.

Your appeal to authority is a logical fallacy. However, only some historians believe that Brigham Young was involved in the planning of the murders, others do not.
