Most leaders of cult like religions (aka, all religions) DO bring out strong opinions of people on either side of the debtate. It's just human nature, and says very little about Brigham Young himself.

I wouldn't want to offend anyone with my opinions of Brigham Young. The movie wasn't soley about him, and this is, afterall, a movie forum, and not a "lets talk about religion" forum. There are other places to do that.

Martin Luther was an interesting man and he didnt exactly say the nicest things about Jews either. Yet Luther is revered by millions of christians and even have a church in his name. Strange how dirt or "strange" quotes can be dug up on anyone.

What strikes me as interesting Geode is why your started this topic.

Dont take any offense. I find most your posts insightful and although I wouldnt necessary agree with all you say they are certainly well thought out and have merit. Just curious why you would open this hornets nest.
