Significantly missing from the writing is any mention of Joseph Smith's destruction of the Nauvoo Expositor printing presses. You can say he was unjustly lynched; you cannot rightly say he was lynched while unjustly imprisoned. Nor can you rightly say that Smith did not have a pretty wide streak of violence in his own makeup.
