Why did he... (SPOILERS)

First of all: I liked this movie alot. They did a really good job of making all the characters likeable, which doesn't happen very often in simple horror movies.

But there was one thing I didn't quite get: Why did Clutch jump off the building in the end? Was he bitten? Because he touched his neck and looked at his hand right before he jumped. And also his friend, who has become a rat-man by then, didn't attack him. But then again, I didn't see him getting bit.

Clutch discovered he had been bitten, my guess is by Kay during their tussle.

Rats can sense disease on their own, so "infected" Coco sensed that he was already infected.

That's the impression that I got from that scene.

I agree with flcnesbitt. He was bitten, not sure if it was from Kay or the other infected he was fighting with. He did notice the bite on his neck and when he realized that CoCo was about to attack his daughter, he dragged him off of the roof.

Actually, I wish he'd thrown himself off the roof much earlier. "Hero"....Not. I think a lot of people would have had a better chance of surviving if they hadn't hung with or listened to him. Kay, the old men, his partner...
What a thick-headed idiot his character was...couldn't die quick enough for me.

I asked the same questions... I watched this during the day and the last few rooftop scenes were way too dark to see what was happening.

I also wondered why Coco didn't attack him - he was bitten already it would make sense.
