Avenger??

Doesn't this sound like the old "The Equalizer" series?

The only difference between this and the Equalizer is that Sam does the role justice by providing the rough and tumble action that the Equalizer often lacked.

The Equalizer wasn't so much about action.

What about the old series Stingray with Nick Mancuso?

I worked on this movie as Sams stand-in - it was shot in and around Cape Town, South Africa. None of us were too sure if this was going to be good, but we hoped for the best. Im also in the movie - the only soldier without a gun - damn continuity! Overall it was a cool shoot - everyone was pretty cool - only 5 day shooting week! Sam is my moms favourite actor - has been since before Roads House. He recoreded a video b-day message for her, as well as writing a personal autogragh. He was such a nice man - didnt like to be fussed over. I really liked James Cromwell - he's so tall! Timothy Hutton seemed ok, but there were diva-like rumours. He was only ever nice to me, so I cant say for sure. Hope to see it soon - I think if you saw how much work went into it, you wouldnt be so quick to judge the film.

...how far until away are we from "The Decider"?

To bad they striped out everything that was good in the book!
The book was so much more elaborate, and not to mention they left out the great twist at the end!

Not having read the book, this movie was actually quite good on its own merits for a first time viewing. A lot better than quite a lot of movies that end up at the cinema for whatever reason. Theres only so much of a novel you can fit in a movie and maybe too many details would have required too much screen time or simpy confused the viewer who hadn't read the book. The producers had to decide whether to aim the film at those who have read the novel or to give it a greater viewing appeal. and I think it works as it stands.

Well, what was the 'twist' they left out! LOL I liked the movie but not having read the book I can't compare the two.

I actually enjoyed this movie more than the stuff Wesley Snipes is pushing out these days!
