Did anyone else think Mido Hamada was amazing?

...because he was. I think Massoud's character was the best and most fascinating aspect of this film. To my knowledge, his part in the story was quite accurate. Hamada's portrayal made what we would consider a minor role into a pivotal one--sadly, prior to 9/11 most of us Americans had no clue what Afghans were dealing with if we didn't know someone who had lived there. Before meeting some friends from Kabul in the late 90s, I was also clueless. If anything, Massoud is the person who could have been a great leader and was let down by us the most.

It was good Mido, but self promotion on IMDB is really beneath you.
