reply

I saw it on TV too and I thought it was so crap. The acting was appauling. I hated how the kids acted, it was like extreme acting. The story was good though, just the acting annoyed the crap out of me...

are you joking? i watched in it Australia to and i loved it it was inspiring and knowing it was a true story made it betta

reply

I think is was incredibly dishonest, and I fail to see the connection between Clark's methods, as presented in the movie, and his purported success.

I left the movie feeling disgust.

This movie was very good indeed!!!

I just saw this movie (have to admit my ignorance about Ron Clark) and loved it. The story itself is obviously quite amazing, but the movie as... a product of the film industry, is also great. At least in my opinion. Loved the kids' performances and M. Perry is fantastic.

A really enjoyable movie.

first of all, I hope you notice the irony that is your post, Mr Random. Australia and New Zeland has the highest reading scores in the world! At one time Australia only had like 4 television channels. They value reading much more than Americans.

I dont' think it was the best movie. I don't think it was the best IDEA for a movie, since I teach in the Bronx section of NYC.

Who goes to teach in NYC from North Carolina??? And stays???
We have many programs to try to get recruits from all over the country. at these job fairs these young people who want a free Masters degree hear all about the city's "plight".
There is no plight in kids who don't give a fvk, parents who don't give a fvk, and administration who only gives a fvk if they are forced to!
These people are lied to, and they realize that on the first day of school. I started with my masters and one year under my belt with about 6 or so of htese teach for america people. only one of them came back from lunch the first day. I royally kid you not.

What pissed me off the most about this story is that he left! What kind of fool tells a community that he cares about their kids and then leaves???

You're laborers, you're supposed to be laboring! That's what you get for not having an education!!

It's right up there near the top of "teacher/classroom" movies in my book. Wonderful movie!
