Very Highly Recommended!!

I saw this film tonight in London and the theatre was packed. Within
the first 30 minutes I could understand why.

What a wonderful Indian film after a long long time!! Very well made.

Very punchy, funny and realistic. Good performances by everyone
especially Imran Khan and Genelia. The character casting is excellent.
Arbaz and Sohail Khan in a cameo are great.

One of the rare Indian productions where the jokes were effortlessly
funny.

Music is great and so are the songs. Songs are panned out well and do
not stand out as in most other Indian films. Another wonderful
production from Aamir Khan's stable.

Very touching and refreshing film. Very highly Recommended!!

I agree this is another masterpiece from Aamir's stable. Even the legends like Bimal Roy and Satyajit Ray would have given thumbs up to this movie.

Just when everybody thought Bollywood was nearing it's end (in terms of quality), Aamir dropped JTJN in our laps. It will be remembered as a film that changed Indian cinema. A new era has begun. Indian cinema is changing and so is Indian culture.

Well if it sucks, tell us why. Maybe we missed something

I agree this is a fine movie, i don´t think it sucks in any point. It´s a naive movie, yes, and a single mistake would ruin it because the movie itself isn´t a surprising thing, but several points like the actings and the charm the director delivered really made this movie shine. I really enjoyed it.

So in the scene where they said no they weren't that kind of friends, none of you thought, "Oh right. They'll end up getting married". After that point, I was just waiting to see how it would happen. There wasn't the slightest doubt about it. Thing is that I really felt bad for Meghna. She was a totally fine girl, very pretty and sweet. I just couldn't understand why
Jai was dissatisfied with her. On Aditi's side, they matched her with the guy she described as "the kind of guy I will marry", but he was a total yucko creep, which may or may not be necessitated by her conditions for the guy. So she had remorse for splitting from Jai. But why should that mean Jai, who really seemed comfortable with Meghna, should feel the same? Genelia does have a certain manner of acting that tends to make her the center of attention, but in no way did I feel Meghna was second best.

So I ended up with contradictory feelings. There were some points where things gelled for me, but overall I didn't like the story. Here's this girl who has sort of dissociated from her unpleasant life, she finds a boy who pretends to be interested, then he dumps her. I felt kind of negative toward everyone but Meghna and Jai's mom, both of whom I felt were totally decent human beings.
