Regarding the deleted songs and the deleted scenes !!!

Have you guys watched the DVD of Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
It contains lots of deleted scenes (about 8 or 9) and 2 deleted songs complete with their video.
If you ask me, leaving aside 1 or 2 of the deleted scenes, all the other scenes could have had a place in the film.
Both the deleted songs also deserve to be in the film as without them the movie looks incomplete.
I have no idea why the songs and some of the scenes were deleted.

Of all the population who watches any film, only 5 to 10 percent watch it on a dvd, sometimes even less. I think Aamir Khan commited a big mistake there by deleting especially the songs and some of the scenes.

It is the songs which the indian audiences enjoy and if it is an A.R. Rahman song you don't even think about deleting it. It is the first time that multiple songs of Rahman were deleted from any film.

And also, those 2 songs were the title songs and both were just 3 minutes long and also great to hear and watch. Adding them would have made a much needed difference to the movie. Removing them for no particular reason even when they are filmed, is stupidity.
You know, most of the producers would die for a good soundtrack for their film. And when you have 2 of the most popular songs of the year and the 2 best songs of the album, deleting them from the film is a big inanity in my opnion.

Watching them as deleted songs and deleted scenes does not make much sense, as you are not able to enjoy the film without them. Both the songs and some of the scenes really complement the movie.
Some of the deleted scenes add to the entertainment quotient in the film and the songs add to the loneliness of the two characters. They really helped the film in my opnion and shouldn't have been deleted.

Here is the DVD review :

The guy who has given this review agrees with me regarding the deleted scenes and the deleted songs, that they shouldn't have been deleted.

I personally think that those deleted songs and deleted scenes could have elevated the film to a whole new level.
Besides, some scenes also showcase Imran where he is most good-looking and his cutest best. I don't think he would look as good in any other of his films. So those scenes should have been in the movie just for the girls and the ladies.

I don't know what was Abbas Tyrewala, Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan thinking when they removed those songs and scenes.

If you wanna have a look at the deleted scenes and the deleted songs here are the youtube links. Watch them and tell me if you agree with me about their non-deletion or not.

99 percent of the people who have seen the songs on youtube say that they love it and they were sad that the songs were not there in the film. Adding just 6 minutes of two songs in the film wouldn't have made much of a difference especially when the songs would have been there forever in the film.

Those two songs are one heck of music videos that you can watch. I like their picturisation which is very unique, original and not what you generally see in an indian film. Ofcourse to hear them is also a pleasure.

That's why I said, Aamir Khan commited a big stupidity by deleting those songs and some of the scenes. They could have helped the film. They are not taking the story forward but they complement the film in some way or the other.

If Aamir thinks they are stopping the flow, then he should have deleted all the songs in the film, as all of them stopped the flow of the film.
If the song is good, it would never stop the flow of the film even if it's not taking the story forward.
Those songs and some of the scenes had a special place in the film. Unfortunately, they were deleted. I would never forgive Aamir Khan for that. Some good scenes from the promos were also not there in the film and they are not even there in the deleted scenes section. Alas.

A musical romantic comedy like Jaane Tu deserves all those scenes and all those A.R. Rahman songs in it and deleting even one of them is like f..king the movie.

Music and songs play a very important role in a film like this. Even if one song is cut, it would really hurt the film and here 2 major songs were cut from the film.
How could Abbas, Mansoor and Aamir could be so stupid. If you have made the songs, let the audience enjoy them. Why are you deleting them when they have already been filmed and filmed that great in a hollywood style music video format.

It seems like that Abbas Tyrewala made the film in his own style which was great and then these two brothers Aamir and Mansoor came and tampered with the film and tampered with Abbas's vision. They really shouldn't have done that.

Both the songs fits their respective situations perfectly. I don't know how they had the heart to cut them out. Both the characters are confused about loving each other, and the songs represent that confusion beautifully. Still they were cut.

Deleting those songs were like deleting the Tanhaiyee song from Dil Chahta Hai which was also beautifully picturised and was a great song. A masterpiece like that wasn't cut from that movie even though it stopped the flow, but it was great song and that's why it wasn't deleted. Similarly, here in this film also those 2 songs were masterpieces and should not have been cut.

I believe, if those 2 songs and certain deleted scenes were there in the film, it would have been an even bigger hit with the masses and the critics.
Unfortunately, those 3 people mentioned above who were behind the making of the film, destroyed the movie by deleting those 2 gem of a songs and deleting some really good scenes.

Those 2 songs were the best songs. Full blame on Aamir khan on not marketing them well. An opportunity gone wasted.
Aamir and company thinks alot. They try to gauge the minds of indian viewers which ofcourse, they were not able to in this case. That's why they commited that big error of deleting the songs and scenes.
Just 6 minutes of two songs wouldn't have made much of a difference as time would have flown by very quickly anyways because the songs were great both audio and video wise.

So, I reiterate once again that some of the really good scenes which are present in the DVD and those 2 songs shouldn't have been deleted at all.
The film would have been a bigger hit both with the masses and the critics, had they were been there in the film.
They would have elevated the movie to a whole new level.

The film is incomplete without those songs and some deleted scenes. They belong together.
Both the songs would have given a big push to both the lead actor and the lead actress.
