Why did Boots have a Scouse accent...

i wouldnt call it scouse, scouse would intimate it was a far heavier accent than he had in the film, it definitely had a north west/merseyside lilt, and seeing as the actor hails from st. helens, this would indicate he was using his own accent by and large.

I'm a Scouser, and he didnt have a Scouse accent.

It was different to the rest of his family though.

I thought he was Irish. So when we met his dad (Lee), I thought we were gonna find out that his mum was Irish, and brought him up there.

But it was just left unexplained ...
