i just didn't get it

I admit the DVD was running as I was doing something else so I was only giving this 50% of my attention but even so I'm sure there was something wrong with it. There was so much in the film that seemed irrelevant and it was sliced together in such a way I assumed I was watching a deliberately assembled series of flash backs. Which is a pity because a lot of the cast are worthy of a better constructed film.
