I just saw the movie and now I'm seeing on here that Christian died.. how do we know that? I mean all we do is see him get hit by the car and hes lying there.. I never heard like the cop or anyone say "he's dead" and so I'm wondering if thats what happened or like where anyone heard that because the cop like checks his pulse and then keeps shaking him so I thought that meant he was just like unconsious but not dead.. and also I don't think that at the end Megan could have been so ok with everything if Chirstian had died.. thanks for the help

I just finally got around to watching the movie as well and I didn't think he died. I know there was a body covered in a sheet but I just assumed that it was the little girl.

I think when they get a corpse into a car they cover it entirely, and this exact body wasn't - so Christian wasn't dead - it was him - there was his head visible not covered - I am not 100% sure, but I am quite positive about it.

He didn't die because he didn't technically deserve to die - he didn't kill the girl on purpose, the only thing she really wanted was revenge that no responsibility was taken over her death.

Christian was alive when he was taken into the ambulance. If he had been dead, they'd have covered his face out of respect.

That wasn't Christian being put into the car, it was the dude that got shot by Christian. They never showed Christian after him getting hit by the car. He's dead.

Yeah it just looked like he was lying on a stretcher when they put him in the ambulance.

It seems unclear but maybe that was done on purpose I thought he died. The guy placed in the ambulance at the end was Mark. I don’t think he deserved to die but certainly what goes around comes around. Not to mentioned if he did die it certainly brings the story full circle.

that wasn't christian put into the ambulance, it was the other guy who was driving the car when christian shot him.

and what more evidence is needed that christian died? we see his motionless body, the girl freaking out and then we never see him again.

Yes, Christian was dead. At the end, it was Nick and Mark (who Christian shot while in the car) in the ambulance.

Megan kinda lets us know that Christian is dead because she screams "no!" as the cops are checking for Christian's pulse over and over and not finding it.

The other big clue is that it is justice that Christian died the same way that he killed Malin - by getting hit accidentally by a car.

I think Megan is "ok" with it because Christian ended up being a murderer and dragging her sister Sophie into the cover-up, and then Sophie kills herself over the guilt about it. So... in a way, Christian actually kills two people. Megan does cry and scream at first when Christian dies, but then why would she not be okay with someone she knows killed a little girl AND indirectly killed her sister Sophie?

Even if She had feelings for Christian, I think the whole chasing her through the woods with a gun intent on killing her would have made the warm fuzzy feelings go away.

I am surprised that most of the posters here got it wrong, and only “Niki2333” and one other poster above had noticed that the guy that was put into the ambulance with the uncovered face was not Christian but the other dude Mark, and he was attended to by Alicia (his girlfriend) and the Nick (the local guy). Christian was last shown lying on the ground and was definitely dead.

This might be the fault of the film itself since some of the characters looked so much alike. I myself tended to confuse between Mark and Christian at the beginning, and also between the two blondes. I found it more difficult to distinguish Megan from Alicia than between the two twin sisters, though I was aware that they were played by the same actress.
