If this were real, the person so affected by the prank gone sour is being harrassed. Todd as the character is weak and affected by how others have treated him, even wrongfully. It obviously affected his work and relationship at home. He was so unhappy. I cringe to think that someone would make a movie like this. On the surface, it appears funny, but on the deeper level, it definitely isn't. Trust me, as a teacher, I had dealt with students being rightfully or wrongfully called "gay" or "thief" by vengeful or bored derelicts. The affected victims' lives at school became unbearable. If only you can see the pain in their eyes when they come to seek your help, you will agree that the joke wasn't indeed funny!
