Sute: The fact that your income is around $25K p.a., honestly earned, by no stretch of the imagination makes you lower class.
I have among my acquaintances (I don't care to call them friends) those who earn $1M+ p.a. and are exceedingly lower class, despite their elevated opinions of themselves.
Your heart and soul determines your status in this life, not how much you can gouge out of the system.
I hope you will not think I am being patronising, I can assure you I am not.
I'm pretty sure it was speaking of economic standards... it does exist. Not the quality of who he is as a person.
Do a wikipedia search for "middle class" there is basically two pages, the rest of the world and "american middle class" because americans can't stand to just admit they are lower or working class like that somehow makes them less of a person. We can't make life better for ourselfs if we pretend we are doing better than we really are.
I worked there for 4 months and only shopped there 3 or 4 times. Now I only set foot in that store to remind myself of how lucky I am to not have to work there anymore.

I agree that it isn't hard. Wal-Mart makes me sick for so many reasons. I will definitely go out of my way to not shop there, but so far, I haven't even had to do that. I really wish that more people would try to shop at local stores and smaller chains instead of feeding the Wal-Mart monster. A lot of other places have great prices too, and better selection and quality, and you don't have to park a mile away from the store and try to find a specific item in a store the size of a football field.
I shopped there 2 weeks ago and I loved it.. I got so much more there for my dollar then any where else...
I will be doing my christmas shopping there too as well I can't wait to go back..
Every day i watch my flat screen lcd HD tv that we bought from there and a cheaper price then any other store.. and we thank God in heaven for a place like Walmart!!!!
i also got my ps3 there.. and now we have money to do other things...like go to a restaurant and help the local economy... ahhhhhhhhhh walmart, how i love thee
Really? You got a PS3 there cheaper than anywhere else? I guess Sony might want to hear about that since THEY dictate the minimum price you can sell the PS3 for!
I guess Im a shill, too. My wife and I do all our grocery shopping at Wal Mart, and it saves us at least $200 a month. We tried shopping at local supermarket chains,we tried buying our tires and batteries at Midas,Sears, etc, and we ended up paying much, much more, for the same level of quality and service.$200 a month might not be much to you,but thats 3 or 4 times a month my wife and I can go out to dinner and catch a movie.Wal Mart really does improve my quality of life.
Give it a little time. When they finally do monopolize the retail industry, see what happens to their costs and your (and unfortunately, OUR) "quality of life" then.
I used to buy all my groceries at Walmart, but then started to notice it was costing me more and more every week. I started to buy at a local grocery store and my grocery bill has gone down some (for the same items) and I don't have to drive the 20 mile round trip to the closest Walmart. I still buy a few groceries there but the bulk is at local grocery stores. After seeing this movie, I may never step inside a Walmart again.
Nothing is wrong with that, but after the man who made Wal-Mart died and his kids made it Corporate did it all go down the *beep* It went from a family owned, people caring store to a hateful place to work.
My aunt worked there when Sam was still running the place and she said once he died things changed fast.
Behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes.
I don't know about other Walmarts but the Walmarts here where I live do not carry such a variety of products, though the ones available are probably a little cheaper than the local markets it isn't worth to shop there unless you happen to be around in the area. I miss Emeril's BBQ and Steak sauce :( I can't seem to find it anywhere these days.
