yeah and there were a bunch of alligators there while they were filming. i want to go to new orleans, there are a bunch of cool french restaurants there. im in AP french in high school, it would be fun!

five years of french. i hated it. so i am impressed you are doin so well with it.oh well. i was in new orleans on airline hwy near
metarie-look down into the gulley near the road and theres a gator. not so cool when one is that close. stick to the cafe du monde. see how long it takes to
not get sugar down the front of your clothes.

They are filming in Louisiana in New Orleans, somewhere where the Katrina hurricane hit because I read that the film-crew had to be evacuated.

The film industry is feeling the effects of hurricane Katrina.

The massive storm halted production of the CBS television movie Vampire Bats in New Orleans on Monday, and actress Lucy Lawless had to ride out the storm in Baton Rouge.

I worked as an extra on Vampire Bats the week before the hurricane hit and was supposed to work again however due to the hurricane the production was halted... temporarily. They have since moved the production to Halifax, Canada. http://www.ladavidcastingcom.com/castincall.html

At least 5 movies that were shooting in New Orleans will have to find other locations.

I was also in New Orleans while they were filming. There were acctually shooting the school scenes on the UNO campus while I was dropping my sister off at college.

I know for sure they filmed the boat scene at The Dock because i used to work there and i had to stay over night with the cast and crew. they were so nice. i got to meet lucy lawless, she is so pretty.

I was there at the Dock for those two nights of filming. What happened to The Dock after Katrina?

I've been told it was wiped out. It was on the shores of Ponchartrain.

I'm not from the area but thats what I feared. Its kinda surreal that we were there having a great time "making a movie" and the water was so calm and beautiful. Nobody knew what was about to happen the very next week.....

The cemetery was Holy Cross Cemetery in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
