A Truly Happy Ending

I'd like to think I have watched fair few films in my time and have just come to recently re watch prince of Persia. I know the film has its flaws and either love it or hate it, if anything it has decent entertainment value. But I truly believe despite what people find wrong with the story, this film has an honest to god flawless smile rendering happy ending! Just wondering if anyone else agrees :)

After they killed the second brother of the prince I knew I just knew they would save all those characters, kill the villain and everybody would be happy :))) Tooo bad that the princess didn't have some kind of flashback to their times but well, we couldn't have everything :))

Same here. The moment Tus died, I knew they were going to reverse the whole thing. But, this being a movie entirely based on the concept of being able to turn back time, it really makes sense to end that way.

Plus, it's also the exact same way the Sands of Time game ends, as I later found out, so any other ending for the movie would have been a surprise, really.

There are plenty of flaws, but I'll give you that it's an entertaining flick. I've watched it more than once, if only to stare at the princess.

As far as the ending goes, I have a difficult time digesting the fact that these characters went through a grand adventure and only one of them remembers. The princess who doesn't recall why she actually cares about the prince, the knife-throwing guy who is fated to be a sacrificial hero...and never gets the chance/will have no recollection of a greater calling, and Alfred Molina's character, who might just be a good guy...but not anymore. It just doesn't seem fair, or sit well with me. Then again, I don't even like pausing live television, so anything to do with time manipulation typically doesn't agree with me.

I guess I just don't agree with the character development/growth over the past hour and a half being essentially invalidated. I find it a bittersweet ending, if not a bit tragic.

I agree, it seemed a bit sad, and almost pointless that they had been through all that together!
I think she had some kind of feeling/ memory about him
Tho.
