That was differet. From hilarious to touching

The opening scene actually had me laughing, then they broke into a musical number and I didn't know what I was in for.
A lot of it was funny, but there were a lot of meaningful moments as well.

Towards the end when Poverty came to life and climbed off of Poor Girl's back was an emotional moment. Poverty seemed sad to leave and she waved goodbye to Poverty as if saying goodbye to an old friend, but it was time for him to go. Up until that point, I thought Poverty was just a cute fashion accessory. Until shortly before that when Anthony visited her home and she was ashamed of her home and her mother and the community water closet that hadn't really seemed like a big deal. I probably should have picked up on that sooner when the students were auditioning and that one girl asked her to "act rich".

Good movie. I enjoyed it.
