Why Are Black People So Sensative?

I've noticed that a lot of black people have been saying how movies like Crossover,or The Cookout ,or Barber Shop are racist because of how they portray black people, but what about movies like American Pie that portray white teens as horny nerds that can't get a date, or Jay and Silent Bob that portrays white people as stoners or any movie that Larry the Cable Guy is in as portraying white people as hillbillies? Sure, not all black people play basketball, or sell drugs, or go to black barber shops and gossip ,but some do just like some white people are stoners, hillbillies, and nerds but I don't really see to many white people crying about being stereotyped.

FYI, I'm Mexican so don't call me a white racist or anything like that just curios as to why the black community feels so victimized when the same thing is happening to white people.

Hm, maybe cause some black movies like The Cookout for example are so exaggerated that its portrayal is unrealistic? However your example of American Pie, Jay and Silent Bob, Larry the Cable Guy are pretty accurate portrayals of SOME white people.

Actually... i'd say it's more because there's a significant lack of balance in the movie industry when it comes to black film... whereas whites have their silly American Pie's and Scary Movie's... they also have their groundbreaking American Psycho's and There Will Be Blood's. For every movie made about stupid white stereotypes there's 100 with totally unrelated, legitimate, thought provoking themes... definitely can't say the same for black cinema. If it's not Eddie Murphy in a fat suit it wont sell.

I don't know about that Spike Lee's films do pretty good,as well as anything with Densel,Will Smith,Sam Jackson, Morgan Freeman, etc. ,and of course there are going to be more good films starring white people simply because there are a lot more white films.

Actually The Cookout is an accurate portrayal of SOME black people too, so I don' really see the difference.

Yeah, but one can say the same thing about the films lack people complain about, like "Boyz N'the Hood," "Baby Boy," "Hustle & Flow," "Barber Shop" and, to some degree, even "Crossover." I think the OP is making a valid point.

maybe because OUR stereotypes are the only ones that made crackers wanting to lynch us throughout American History. There is so much negative views/stereotypes on Black ppl not just in this country but throughout the world!!! Anything can be said about white people, and yet they are still preferred over any race when it comes to intelligence, beauty, socially etc.

shame on you, your latino, were on the same boat. white ppl victimized..i never laughed so hard!

All white people are racist? Interesting, because that's also not a stereotype. My opinion: it's a movie, if you don't like it, don't watch it.
