Does anyone else find it odd that they're trying to get a wide release, yet they're putting it on tv before it's even in theaters?

Not really, HD Net did this with Fay Grim. I think it was on DVD, HD Net, and theaters all the same week.

That's how they market all of their films; simultaneous release.
