Help with actor -Spoilers

I'm confused and would appreciate help.

In series 2.3 with the bi-sexual construction worker I was sure the policeman(who's son gets a hiding)was Neil Fitzmaurice but he isn't listed on the cast list.

However I also think Neil Fitzmaurice played a part in an earlier street where a man thinks his wife has bought sexy underwear but it turns out his son is a cross dresser. The son in this episode also appears in series 2 of the street as another character.

Hope this makes some sense to somebody and you can help
