It would have been really freaking hilarious if they actually had to flip a coin to figure out which team to give the answer to cause after a week none of them had figured it out. :-)
Course given there were three teams I'm not sure how you could decide that by flipping a coin though.
nah...it'll never happen. The producers would have just nudged the team they think has the most fans with the answer and the team will act like a light bulb just went off in their heads and have the answer. Much like it's happened numerous times in the show. Most call it dumb luck, but I call it rather shady.

I didn't watch all of the live portion, but I thought the comments the "geniuses" made about how much they bonded were just too ridiculous for words. The one guy saying how close they were and how he "would take a bullet" for either of these guys. Give me a break! What a drama queen... (I started looking for them to be wearing homemade friendship bracelets with each other's initials or something).

I agree 100%. While I found the show to be a bit addicting (like any reality tv), it was a very weak show. Poorly paced and a little theatrical. (especially the final room...c'mon) I'll probably keep watching if they do have a follow up season just b/c I'm a sucker.

Even though I found so much wrong with the show, it was so bad it was entertaining. After the first few episodes, it kind of took on a campy value. I was entertained by it the same way I am entertained by really bad music from the 1970s.

Actually I think it would have been hilarious if someone actually tried pressing the tile with the star thus opening the door to the treasure without solving the last clue. Wonder what would have happened if that had happened.

I wondered that myself. I thought someone was going to do that when they noticed that there was just one star figure on the walls. It would have been natural to go over and touch it.
I am kind of assuming that there may have been a panel behind the star, preventing it from moving until a cryptex was opened. Then, some technician pulled the panel off.
