Hero or Hate Crime? Classic Sunny

I'm really enjoying this season so far, but this was the best episode of the season. I love it when they try new things and get conceptual, but nothing compares to putting those five characters in a room and letting them have at it. So many things had me rolling and in tears:

Dennis admitting a 'deposit' is a load
The use of some of my favorite words like *beep* and c**ksuc**r
Changing arbitrators when they pledge to be fair and honest
The Gang screwing Mac out of his money after his poignant coming out moment
Dennis telling Mac that they don't care if he is gay or straight, they hate him either way
Charlie purposely stepping in feces to cover up skunk and cigarettes

The list goes on and on. Everything I love about the show is encompassed in this episode.

For me Classic Sunny. Even though they did borrow the bicycle gag from South Park a tiny bit. I think Hero or Hate Crime stands up with the best of Sunny. Glad to see the gang back!

I noticed the South Park joke, but it was still funny to me. Just hearing him go through the explanation of what the bike was for was enough for me to forgive the borrowed joke.

Not only this was the best episode of the season, it was overall one of the best they've ever done.

This season is turning out amazing just like season 10 two years ago. It's incredible how the show is still so good despite being so old.

I loved it when Dee was talking about how the word *beep* isn't so bad

same here, this episode in my top 3 of all time.

I have to agree; I wasn't so sure when it first got going...I was afraid it was going to be like the "court case" episode with Dee's car, which I didn't care for. But, this was definitely one of the best of all time, in my opinion. That opening scene alone was classic.

Very subtle laugh for me was, after bitching to no end about it, Dennis smoking. Everyone else was shown asking/grabbing and lighting a cig but Dennis' was just in his hand at one point.

Totally agree! By far the best episode of another great season and might be top 5 episodes ever.

In my top 5. And I have a to say, at the end when they decided to wait to ask him to pay the legal bill so he could enjoy being out and having band an extra 10G's was oddly sweet.

This episode and its impact have me in a tizzy as those of you whom I respect all loved it, yet I hated every moment. Maybe I picked up sailor's rot from a lady of the night from Kensington, and it's moved into my brain. Guess I'll have to watch it a couple more times.

it was very easily the best episode of this season so far, that's for sure

Not that we all have to have the same consensus, but I'm curious....what didn't you like about this episode?

I'm very very happy with how this season turned out, even if this does turn out to be their last season. It was definitely kinda strange with the new cameras and everything, but the writing stayed in the same trashy spirit and that's what counts. And regardless of whether or not South Park came up with that idea first(what ep was that?), it's absolutely something that they would have come up with organically. It just makes waaay too much sense for Mac to do something like that.
