I like DEMONI a lot (it's one of my favorite italian horror movies of all time), MACABRO is OK, DELIRIUM is trashy fun and the first half of DEMONI 2 ruled - but the rest of Laberto's opus is not very good. I wonder about THE TORTURER... Is it any good?

looks and feels like a commercial tv soft core no focus garbage. certainly amongst the worst movies i have ever (tried) to watch, no redeeming qualities whatsoever. you just ask yourself how is it possible for this to be produced with actual money put in it.

When I first watched this, I was with a lot of my friends, so the crappy effects, cheap acting, and horrible story was an entertaining laugh. None of us knew anything about Bava, so, naturally, we thought it was a student film ( and even then it seemed like crap to us). Really, it is only good if you are into the whole "laugh at crappy student films with your friends" deal.
Why should I kill myself worrying when I'll end up just as dead?
