The Blair Witch Project gone... stupid.

It makes Signs look good, even the worst episode of the X-Files is way better than this.

It would have been a little bit better if it was not for the awful acting.

Um I truly think you missed the movie.. As there really wasn't any real acting to mess up and the story was more based on the occurances rather than the interaction between characters. Like I said before it leaves you to create the story in your mind as you go along on a ride during a hellish occurance with no escape and no one to save you...

I think you're way to used to having your hand held through the entire film by the producer to help you grasp the concept of the film?

It's not the "Blair Witch Project" Not even close to that headache producing nonsense of a film. Rather this is more a mix of a Radio theatre story with visuals that enhance the experience Think(H.G. Wells Radio Broadcast of War Of The Worlds) Anyway give the film a shot.. I enjoyed it.. Wish there was more and encourage the producers to continue the saga.

-Ladies and gentlemen please
Would you bring your attention to me?
For a feast for your eyes to see
An explosion of catastrophe
Like nothing you ever have seen before
Watch closely as I open this door
Your jaws will be on the floor
After this you’ll be begging for more...[Saliva "Ladies & Gentlemen"]

The dialogue was poorly conceived, and the acting really left much to be desired. Indeed, there is some H.G. Wells to it, but the visual part of this project lacked of the intensity of the events that we are supposed to believe are happening, and I don't mean lots of FX or big fancy sets.

This director tries as much as others to hand held us through the entire film, with overused screams and swearing, and with superficial character development.

But I must add, this is only my opinion.

I thik that the concept this movie was developing was extremelly interesting, but the problem was that small details made this extremelly unenjoyable (for me). I don't agree with the "this movie was meant to make the viewer imagine, so if u didnt like it u probably dont like movies that make u think" argument here, because theres nothing to imagine with this movie.
Blair Witch made the success it made because the suspense was based interly on your interpretation of what was happening with the three characters. For that effect they tried to show the audience as less as they could regarding the surroundings, leaving us with just noises in the forest and small strange occurences.
This movie does nothing like that... it just shoves everything in your face without any care at all. The movie did make me think about what was going on and how terrifying that situation was, but the overall lack of effort and small downsides like horrible acting (I mean please...), bad dialogue and ridiculous elements like the language that the aliens comunicated with was nothing more than a reversed human talking, made me back away from the atmosphere it was trying to create.

it leaves you to create the story in your mind

Doesn't that defeat the purpose of even having a movie than?

I can sit around and daydream without watching poorly written, poorly acted, poorly filmed garbage and come up with a story "in my mind"

But if you are going to put something out and call it a movie; it needs to have it's own story or it doesn't need to be made

Telling someone else they missed the point because they were supposed to be making up the story in their mind basically means you missed the entire point of it being a movie

Lets take this one step further: What if I sold you a blank CD? a music disc with nothing on it. But wait~ it's the best music CD ever, right? You just have to make up the music in your mind while listening to nothing

Now pay me for my awesome music CD
