Why Kiill Andrew Vaughn?

I watched The Mechanic in theaters when it was new and seen it
again recently on basic cable so the one nagging question I
have which I have not been able to figure out is why did
Arthur and Steve have to kill Andrew Vaughn? I must have
missed something or two in the sript.

1. Who hired them to assassinate Mr. Vaughn?

2. Was he seen as some type of threat to society?

3. Was he really a cult type of religious leader?

1. The usual guy (Dean?) hired Bishop to kill him.

2. No, he'd picked up some girl and killed her. He wasn't charged, or he got away with it somehow, but someone who cared about her wanted him killed for it.

3. I think he was just one of your run-of-the-mill evangelical conmen.

Alright and thanks for your answers and now have a much clearer
understanding of why Arthur and Steve did away with Andrew Vaughn.
And your third reason is so true, he was just another typical
evangelical con man and somehow he reminded me of Anthony Robbins!
LOL!

yes, it was explained he'd gotten away with killing a young girl, and when we see him signing copies of his book, he is letching at a pretty teen who explains she is '16'..........which makes him all creepy.
He had it coming. His death looked unpleasant
