Hand in the waste disposal scene

At the end of this scene, the wife shouts: "You bastard".

Was she shouting at the mechanic for frightening them or her husband for (from his POV) waiting for his daughter to loose some fingers before finally deciding that it would be better to reveal the information?

I know who I would have been more angry with in those circumstances. (Clue: Not the mechanic.)

BTW, did the idea of faking a serious injury remind anyone of the scene with the steak from 'The Punisher'?

The husband of course. I couldn't believe that, totally unrealistic. If that were anyone else they'd be spilling the beans as soon as their family was held at gun point

YES! I thought of it immediately! I came to this board to see if anyone else thought the same. BTW LOVE that Punisher scene- it's one of my faves.
