Is there any animal cruelty in this movie?

Some of the plot keywords are "animal shelter" and "dog". Are any dogs killed in this movie?

There's a scene where they go pick up a dog from an animal shelter, but that's it. So I guess that's where the keywords come from.

There is plenty of animal cruelty in this movie... all from human to human.

There is zero dog cruelty.

yeah no dogs are hurt. its totally ok for young kids.....

p.s.: also a steak gets horribly disfigured.

Actually, there IS some animal cruelty in the film, albeit minor.
When the 'apprentice' is sleeping on the sofa, and the alarm wakes him, he reaches around to switch it off. The dog cowers and runs like Hell.
