Assassin's Code (MALES Only?)

Does anyone remember a movie where an assassin was training a young girl to become an assassin and one of the first lessons he taught her is that a real professional assassin would only kill males?

It would seem like the assassin in this movie followed that as although it looked like at least 50 or 60 people were killed, they all had one thing in common, they were all MALE. Personally, I would agree with this as women should never be killed, it should be 100% male.

Leon the Professional?

Some woman are deserving of assassination. Just a smaller percentage.

Yea, maybe ONE for every several thousand males.

reply

Well, they dispatched a gay guy but you're right, it was all male victims in this one. This is 2011 for God's sake though. Eeryone should have equal opportunity to be killed by an assassin in an action flick.

Take that wanna be vampire woman / countess, in history, that actually had people killed so she could bath in their blood...

Now tally all the men in history that have done bad things on a large scale.

Now compare all the numbers and quantify HOW bad the things the two sides did... (gonna be a challenge...)

Also, men killing only men is like how wars were fought in the olden days so maybe that's why guys dig it.

reply

Definitely The Professional with Jean Reno as the assassin and Natalie Portman as the young girl.

Thank you. I looked that one up and was surprised to learn that she was only 12 when the Professional was teaching her to kill. I am glad she was taught that only males should be killed. I do wonder what she thought about being instructed that it is OK to kill a male but not a woman.

reply

"No women. No kids. That's the rules."

That line was repeated a few times in The Professional.

What?? Why is it okay to teach that men should be killed? And why are men less valuable and more expendable than women? Makes absolutely no sense to me. It's kind of patronizing and sexist.

"It's kind of patronizing and sexist."

lol... men... complaining about...sexism... lol.. sorry...lmao....

reply

I interpreted it as more of a 'no civilians' rule.

Bishop could easily have covered the tracks if Steve had killed the car jacker. But instead he stopped him. Admitted... Raymond (that was his name, right?) wasn't one of God's best children but he hadn't done what he was accused of and there wasn't a contract out on him, so i.e. he wasn't a valid target.

Bishop executed his mentor and best friend. I don't think a guy like that would have any particular qualms about offing someone just because it happens to be a woman.

Shocking as it may be, such things do exist. It's still controversial to cry, to name one.

Yeah and white people are never victims of racism. Just because sexism against men isn't publicized as much that makes it right?

reply

The fact that some people denies it doesn't means that sexism doesn't exists also for men. In a really smaller proportion, that's true, but exists and it is equally unjust. This whole thread (men deserve to be killed more than women do, wtf?) is a clear example. You denying is another.

reply

"No women, no children"....or kids, but that was the gist of it. And yes, it was definitely Leon (The Professional in the US).

reply

And why shouldn't women killed?

I vote villains should be killed, regardless of gender.

reply

Don't worry gang, heaps of women get bumped off on a daily basis, real life 'assassins' don't give a toss about some 'code'.

reply

Could you imagine the Kill Bill saga had all assassins followed this code? I think the proper term should be no women civilians.

reply

there are far less women with the kind of position that makes you the target of assasination, thats why the targets are all male

reply

In the movie I saw that the assasin was teaching a young girl, he said he would only kill males, never a woman.

"Personally, I would agree with this as women should never be killed, it should be 100% male."

And, personally, I think that this is one of the stupdiest statements I have ever read. First of all, is just fiction so it's not important if it's men or women. Second, if we do not talk about fiction, nobody should be killed, regardless of the geneder.
