The complete true story would've been more dramatic

Thus: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Graeme_Obree
Not shown:
He reclaimed the 1hr WR;
Moser copied Obree's technique to make a WR for senior cyclist;
There was no bullying - Obree's depression was caused by being bipolar and being a latent homosexual and living a lie;
He made a bizarre suicide attempt from eating aspirin washed down with water from a puddle(!!!!? Would be hard to believe in a film scene though!);
Had a brother who died in between his WRs and World Championships, which caused the suicide attempt shown in this film (not sure it was a hanging);
Eventually divorced his wife and 'came out';
He actually had a pretty undisciplined training regime, where he would only train on days where he felt like it;
Had the chance to ride in the Tour de France, but declined after they made it clear he'd have to used drugs (EPO);
Felt robbed of a chance to ride 'Le Tour' by all the druggie riders;
Druggie rider Miguel Indurain broke Obree's 1hr WR!
...etc...

Considering that some of those details weren't known to the public when the film was made, it would have been difficult to have it hit all those points.
