Was he gay all along.. Spolers

I just read that he admitted he was gay and this was the real reason why he tries to commit suicide. He and his wife later divorced. Imagine her pain when she found this out after supporting him through two of his suicide attempts and depression. I get that he was a closeted homosexual but he sure put her through the ringer.

Perhaps if society was more tolerant of homosexuality people might not feel the need to hide who they are.

Given the number of hate crimes perpetrated against gay people there are still huge numbers of people who need to learn to be tolerant.

To make a stupid blanket statement that "all homosexuals lack morality" just illuminates your own bigotry.

When so many continue to hate people because of their sexuality, and resort to bullying, assaults and grotesque murders because of their own inadequacies or fanatical interpretation of religious texts it's hardly inexplicable that people avoid facing or dealing with the fact that they may be gay.

If you have any doubts why not trawl google and read of the people who continue to be raped, attacked or murdered because of their sexuality to this day.

Although gay issues have made progress in recent years the overwhelming hatred and contempt that the issue would have provoked in a backward place like Ayrshire in the 1970s and 1980s led many people to hide from themselves or get out.

His second suicide attempt was preceded by the death of his brother and he was later diagnosed as being bipolar. Those factors combined with being ostracised growing up make it unsurprising that he took time to realise or accept his sexuality.

To date there are still few people playing professional sport in the UK who are open about being gay. Perhaps the most famous remains Justin Fashanu, who was taunted on the pitch, denigrated by ignorant managers and committed suicide tragically young.

Most demented post I've read in a long time. Such a strange fascination with homosexuality makes me suspect he's closeted himself. Or perhaps just a bible nutter.
How does homosexuality cause immorality due to them not living a lie of heterosexuality? This weirdo perceives their gayness a choice which causes "hell" for others to cope with - "John" is the only one worrying about other people's natural private life. He expects them to go against their natural thoughts and "base desires", yet it's ok for heteros to live for their base instincts. Like marriage, divorce and general male/female relationships don't result in destroyed lives.
Complete psycho. But I'm glad something completely outside of his control is turning his mind and causing him distress.
