Location of Final Scene

I recognize the location of the final winter scene.
It is shot near the University of Ottawa, about five minutes walk east from the main campus. So "Doug" went from the West coast to the East coast.

Anyone who attended Ottawa U. like myself knows that the park is practically deserted during the winter season, and is the last place to find people. Moreover, taking either the number 5 or 16 bus would make walking through the park superfluous.

Anal much?

And the other 295 million people who have never attended Ottawa will have no idea, and will assume it was filmed someplace in California during Winter time, where it was probably intended to take place...

It's also not uncommon for serial killers to move. No reason he couldn't have moved from the West cost to the east in the 3 or 4 months in between when she died and when that last scene was shot.

It doesn't snow in Southern CA.

And for the 200 million people in this country who have never lived in Southern California and have no idea it doesn't snow there they probably won't care about that either.

By the way, I am right behind you.

Well maybe he moved then. Either way my only point is most people will have no idea or even think about it.

It's like when someone who was in the military watches a military movie they can easily point out all the crap that's wrong. Nobody else notices but it drives us crazy. I'm sure it's the same with Law Enforcement and a lot of other things. People who have lived in San Diego and/or Ottawa will probably notice, the rest of us didn't even consider it.
