The carotid artery runs directly through the nose

Yeah....I'm all for a little suspension of disbelief but that was a lame solution for the whole "Why not plastic surgery?" conundrum. I'm no med student but there are two carotid arteries. I don't know which one he's talking about but if none of them supply blood to the neck I would think she would need some serious physical therapy for it.

Now don't get me wrong. I liked the movie on the whole and McAvoy is awesome sauce as usual. But in a world where only one in three Americans can name all three branches of their government, I would like to see more script writers overestimating the knowledge of the audience, rather than underestimating it. That way people learn instead of being pandered too. And our expectations can rise with good reason.

Ok. So maybe I'm being a little harsh? You'll have to forgive me...I just saw lockout.

Okay so you can believe a curse turned a girls nose into a pigs nose but not that the curse made it so the nose had an artery that went through it?

ROTFLMAO!!!!!

exactly!

No. I believe if the movie's premise is already "magic" why bother trying to explain it with science? It's obviously something you can't make a plausible explanation out of.

I think the point is that the curse made it impossible to do a quick fix of the nose. If they hadn't mentioned this, some people would be posting message boards asking "Why didn't she just have plastic surgery?".

No, people are stupid. You are in the wrong.

As a documentary this film does fail on a number of levels.
