shareI did!! I was there and loved the experience. I actually saw East of Eden for the first time on that big outdoor screen in Marion and loved it. The documentary was extraordinary. I fell in love with it, seeing all of those television clips for the first time and the tests with Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward was just priceless. I have been so antsy for it to come out. It is by far the best documentary ever done on this man. I loved the movie and I love James Dean, I just cannot say enough wonderful things about it!
shareya it was the first time i saw east of eden too! it was great. i had a fantastic time. it was really funny. this older man asked if he could put his elbow on our blanket (cause me and my best friend were in the front row) and turns out he was an actor in giant! so he sat next to us and watched the entire film. it was truly the best trip i've ever had.
shareWas it Earl Holliman?!
Yeah, it was one of the greatest moments of my life. If you're a big fan, that place just feels right, so welcoming. I saw a sign in the parking lot of a gas station that said, "Welcome Home James Dean Fans" I just loved that, it kind of felt like it.
yea. i know what you mean. yes. i think it was earl holliman. gosh. i love that place. it does feel just like home.
