My favorite moments . . .

The first has to be when his wife catches him with a prostitute who claims to be Gary's cousin. One would assume the wife would have immediately called *beep* but five minutes later we find out she was merely perplexed by the issue. Not to mention that Ridgeway's real wife neither looked nor acted like her movie portrayal. Then again, nothing in this movie is really based upon fact, making one wonder why Green County Police were thanked in the closing credits -- because I can't imagine that the filmmaker ever consulted with them.

Which leads me to my second observation. The closing credits credited Hertz Rent-a-Car and Lufthansa airlines for 'transportation services.' Why? I'm quite certain they didn't give the director a discount for a shoutout in a low budget film.

And then there are the love making/murder sequences. Each time one occurred all I could think was, "Oh no, please not this *beep* again." Ridgeway murders every girl he's seen with, at the same bar, yet it takes DNA evidence to catch him. Right. By the way, the stock footage of DNA analysis was hilarious. Also, the madam didn't seem concerned that all of her workers were dying after an evening with the Ridgemeister.

Speaking of the madam -- I loved the completely irrelevant scene of a hooker 'applying' to work at her brothel, accompanied by a soundtrack that was part Foxybrown and part 70s porno flick.

I'm a connoisseur of bad movies, and I've never seen one trashed as hard as this one in the message boards. I don't know if its the worst thing I've ever seen, or even in the top 10, but it's definitely a contender.
