I don't get the ending - spoilers
So the device releases the souls, or better, pieces of soul, and they transform into bacteria? Ethereal generates physical? That's a bit stretched. Or I'm missing a piece?
shareNo, it just began to rain again at that point. Life began in the ocean, and the water (symbolizing purifying) was starting life over again. It had nothing to do with the numbers' spirits. Think of it kind of like The Lion King after Simba defeated Scar. The rain washed everything away, purifying the dead land, and life started anew.
shareAll right, thanks. I'm still not sure why or how they made it to rain, though. I checked a bit in Google now and I can't find an explanation. Although I understand that to look too much for logic into a fantasy movie isn't the best of exercises..
