We might. Look how low Sleepy Hollows ratings were, yet it's getting another season. With Fox, it's always a toss up on their shows. And agreed, the old format.

It started out low and it has lost half it's viewers from the Sept 5th episode.
I would like to have it return to the old format. This season I dvr'd the 1st episode and didn't get half way through it. Since then haven't watched it. This was one of my favorite shows.
ratings are low because they made the horrible decision to have children compete. could have done a spinoff with children and leave the original the great show it was.
shareNo, ratings were already really low last season, and on their way to getting worse. This season was only marginally worse than Season 12. It stands to reason that if they had used the original format, Season 13 would have fared just as badly if not worse.

The show ran its course by season 10 has been treading water every since. They thought adding children would rejuvenate it but it instead made things even worse. I will be very surprised if the show is renewed. I am a longtime fan, but all shows must come to an end at some point. If they do get a Season 14, they should just call it the last one and have a big all star season (no expensive auditions necessary).
shareIt is probable that season 14 will be offered, but since the US West Coast port financial crash is improving, but not completely yet at the same time, they will go back to old format. They will bring back mary Murphy, keep Paula Abdul for one more season and get rid of jason Derulo only.
If the ratings do not improve during season 14, then:
* Season 14 will be the final season in TV air, so just make a proper series finale of this show by then.
* No cancellation should move this reality show out of FOX into a private cable network as its new home.
TBH, IMO.
I just read on yahoo news that SYTYCD is on the bubble for cancellation. This doesn't surprise me as the last couple of seasons have been epic fails. They will probably do a final farewell season and that will be it... if they get that much.

But there could be a default that if they decide to renew it for its 15th season, then, more likely, this will be moved into a private cable network as its new home, just in case.
