NBC did not have a pre-game show until GrandStand in 1975. I definitely recall that and various sources ("The TV Schedule Book" and NY Times and those on newspaper archive) would seem to confirm that). Meet The Press almost always aired in the 12;30 PM eastern time slot.
It is likely that Tim Ryan did MC the NBC's post-game "Sperry/Gillette NFL Report" that aired - time permitting - after the completion of the national 4 PM game in 1974. I know Pat Hernon hosted this show in the 1968-c.1972 era.

Shows were usually pre-recored before 1974. Since 1974, all pre-game
shows have been live or "plausibly" live.
Length of shows:
1956-1963: 15 minutes or 30 minutes
1964: 30 minutes
1965-1969: 15 minutes or 30 minutes
1970-1993: 30 minutes
1994-1995: Fox, 1 hour, NBC, 30 minutes
1996 to date: 1 hour
The reason for the 15 minute show or 30 minute show, is that many CBS
affiliates ran a local team preview show or a coach's show for 15
minutes in conjunction with the network show.
NBC in 1994 and 1995 ran an hour long show before week 1.
From 1994-2005 Fox usually ran a 90 minute show before week 1.
