Women with tats

This is a question for you guys who think tattoos are acceptable and the guys who have tattoos (cause obviously if you have tattoos, you accept them). Where on a woman's body would you consider being a trashy place for a tattoo, regardless of what the tattoo was of? Would you break up with a woman you were seeing for, say, two - three months if you found out she had what they call a "tramp stamp"? I'm curious to know what guys think about women with tats because I heard a few guys say they won't date a woman with a tattoo and they consider them sluts and biker whores and rude stereotypes like that, even though they could be turning away their Ms. Right. I have a tattoo of a clover on my back near my shoulder. I'm thinking about getting a tattoo on my inner thigh. Would you consider that trashy? Tell me what ya think.

reply

Tramp Stamp whores are sicking lol.

We got guns & $hit.

reply

OK..........Can I get some REAL men to replie?

reply

No, I don't consider it trashy. I don't care where a woman has a tattoo or how many. I care more about their reason for getting one. If they did it to be "cool", or "I was drunk", or "everybody else was doing it", well those are not good reasons. If she genuinely wants tattoos, then splendid, go for it. As for thy inner thigh tattoo, as I said, I don't consider it trashy. If, however, it's a tat of a giant dick shooting a load towards your crotch, I might reconsider.

"If, however, it's a tat of a giant dick shooting a load towards your crotch, I might reconsider"

LMFAO!

reply

I can tell you that I would never get a dick inked on any part of my body thank you very much but thank you all for your opinions and replies....except for a certain troll ...you know who you are....(cough)FEAR(cough). I probably shouldn't even mention him because that would be feeding his need for attention

reply

I noticed I did say "him" cause I figure the one who is the least understanding about a girl getting a tat would be a guy but I would laugh my *beep* a** off if FEAR was a chick.

reply

ok, my wife finds this slightly intimidating to an extent but i find women with tattoo's incredibly attractive. i am an artist and therfore find everything to do with art beautiful (yawn) lol. i have three tattoo's at the moment which my wife loves. She just got a small'ish back piece done on saturday there and it is so attractive. this is her fourth in three months and i hope she keeps going. there is nothing wrong with women with tattoo's. :)

reply

I'm not a guy, but I hope you don't mind me answering on behalf of tattooed women.

I was unlucky enough to date a guy who didn't accept my tattoos. He would make rude remarks and talk down to me if we argued, and anything I did which he didn't agree with was all down to the fact I had tattoos. He smoked hash which I do not agree with, but did not hold it against him as I believe each to their own habits and beliefs. I saw sense and spilt up with him, and since then have never came across anyone who shares his views.

To all the people who say tattoos make a woman a 'trashy, biker slut'...

I am well educated, never sleep about, never drink too much, don't smoke, don't do drugs, work as a retail manager, earn a good honest wage and have 4 tattoos. Does that make me trashy? Slutty? Rude? Getting a tattoo doesn't change your personality, I am not going to go and shag about, do drugs and basically make an arse of myself because of a piece of art on my skin.

There are no trashy places to get tattoos, it's just down to personal preference. People who think tattoos are trashy with view them as that no matter what it is or where it is.

Anyway, I will presume you are a woman asking, and will say it's your body! Decorate as you please and don't let closed minded individuals hold you back from anything you want to do! Be true to yourself and do as you please!

reply

I'm glad you dumped him. He smoked hash but had a problem with a little ink under the skin? As far as I can tell, you're better off without him. Thanks for your replie. You're an inspiration for tattooed women to be themselves. I will never let anyone tell me I'm a bad person for having tattoos. Thanks again!

reply

lol It is truly funny how you RETARDS don't know what the word "tramp" means.

Yeah, but if I don't kill you, what is there to talk about?

reply

Tramp: a person who travels on foot from place to place.(straight from the dictionary). Yeah, look who's calling who a retard. For someone who despises tattoos and the people who have them, You really waste alot of time posting on a message board about a tattoo shop. Why don't you go disappear again. Say your farewells and go to a different board where you can get the attention you're striving for. Who knows? You might find someone who likes to babble and bully as much as you do. You two can keep each other company.

reply

lol Stupid in-brain retard just go back to your trailer park and go draw on yourself some more.

And your blocked now (you do know what that meanst don't you? [roll) and learn what the word tramp actaully means.

Yeah, but if I don't kill you, what is there to talk about?

reply

HEY EVERYBODY!!! CHECK OUT THIS DOUCHE DOESNT LIKE TO *beep* DRAWWWW
*STABS YOU WITH PITCH FORK*

I felt like,
"This guy's really hurting me."
And it hurt.

reply

Well, I'd like to answer this in a mature fashion, if Mr. Fear and his less-than-masterful grasp of the English language don't mind too much. What an oaf!

To my mind, there is nothing that spoils a woman's natural beauty more than a tattoo. Simple. I find them highly unappealing. My grandfather, who was an old sea salt, had tons of them, and I thought they were really cool. But, that was the last time I felt like that. As for the poster who described his interest in tattoos as being an extension of his artistic side, I respond by saying, "Uh, no ... it's not art, just because someone drew it." I don't think Botticelli, were he alive today, would be found coloring in a picture of Woody Woodpecker smoking a joint on somebody's calf.

Seriously, it's a matter of self-respect. I just don't think that it's something that people who have a healthy image of themselves would feel a need to do in the first place. And, there is nothing more sickening to me than a woman who has tattoos on her breasts. I saw one on Cops, the other day, who had these two bear claws inked on her boobs. The first thing I think when I see something like that is "No class at all."

It doesn't mean I'll shun them, per se. But, I'm definitely not going to date them. I just can't feel attracted to women with tattoos.

reply

im a girl and i agree with one the posters who said its ur body decorate as u please if u guy doesnt like it and is rude about it kick him to the curb as he is not worth ur time and effort i have 5 tattoos btw

I don't suffer from insanity~I enjoy every minute of it!

reply

I completely agree with you confessionofashopaholic. I originally wanted to hear what the guy's had to say because men tend to be more controlling in the affairs of women(just look at the middle eastern countries), but I enjoy hearing from you girls on this topic too. (P.S. I'm a girl if no one could figure out.)

reply

Bravo Sliptdisk! You shared your opinion without any childish name calling. Maybe you can teach FEAR something about maturity and respecting other people's opinions, even though you might disagree with them.

reply

Thanks, Lucky!

I couldn't help noticing that the poster that followed me couldn't resist being offended by the thought of someone not liking her tattoos, and made this comment about kicking guys to the curb if they don't like them. Is that how it works? If you're in love with a guy, but he won't show any interest because you have tattoos, you're supposed to reject him even though he's not interested in you, in the first place? That's how that works?

To me, it's like smoking. If you're a smoker, you're mainly going to attract other smokers. If you don't, you can attract both. If you have tattoos, you only attract guys who don't have a problem with them; whereas, if you don't, you can attract guys who do like them, as well as ones who don't. I've never heard of somebody not going out with somoene because they don't smoke or have tattoos. That's just my take on it, though. I could be wrong.

And, yes, thank you, too. It's so discouraging to me, the way people can't disagree without being uncivil towards one another.

well what i meant is say that u have a tattoo and its covered up and then when he sees it and has a major problem with it then hes not for u

reply

I see. I guess I'm just used to seeing people with them in fairly conspicuous locations, at this point, and wasn't necessarily thinking of it that way. I just wish fewer women had them, I guess, because a good woman's hard enough to find, and, well, we're all picky about some things where romance is concerned, aren't we? Otherwise, just any old body would do.

reply

I was just thinking. Are you OK with guys having tattoos or is it anybody? For instance, if you had a male and female cousin and they both got tattoos, would you mind your female cousin's tat more? If so, that doesn't seem fair. I think there are tats done on both male and female bodies that look trashy. There are also ones done that can look classy. If you don't like any kind of ink than that's that but I think some people are beginning to think twice about them because they are seeing stuff like a tarantula on a woman's boob and what not.

reply

No, my feelings would be about the same. The difference being, obviously, that (of course, this wouldn't apply to a cousin LOL), your earlier post was from a romance perspective, I thought, and that's how I responded. My grandfather, for example, was this old sea salt, who worked in a shipyard. And, as children, we all thought he had the coolest tattoos. He had this really cool 3-D looking star on one hand, and the words, "Isle of View" on another, plus a naked lady on his bicep. Their were more, but those are the ones I remember. And, in those days, before they became a fashion, they fit him. He was a real character, and he just wouldn't have been him without his tattoos.

Nowadays, it seems like every other person has them, though. With guys, it makes me feel like they're trying to look tough. With women, I don't know what to think. But, to me, a woman's skin is a thing of beauty, and I guess I just don't think there's any point in trying to improve on it. With a cousin, or somebody else I'm not romantically interested in, it doesn't really matter. Live and let live. But, these guys that have them crawling all over their bodies, up and around the neck, and whatever, they do kinda freak me out. And, I'm sure that's the intended effect - to convey an intimidating presence. I just think they are trying to impress in a very superficial way. I could probably overlook a small, tasteful tattoo on a woman, if I were really in love with her. I wouldn't let what I think of as a flaw stop everything in its tracks.

reply

You stupid crackwhores really need to learn what the word "tramp" means it's just plain sad not drop dead funny now.

Yeah, but if I don't kill you, what is there to talk about?

reply

Was that supposed to be a sentence, or something? Sorry that the fifth grade didn't work out so well for you, FEAR.

Yes, you've made us well aware of how wonderful a human being you are, time and again. But, really, ... the grown-ups want to talk, now; so, it's time for you to go night-night. Oh, look! I found this handy "Ignore" link for you.

reply

I think tattoo's are a personal preference, I have 5, a rosary bead around my right ankle to represent my grandparents religion, a unicorn on my lower back for my 3 baby cousins who all passed from SIDS (to represent their purity) a lizard around my belly button for my deceased Nanna who loved the animal, a symbol of faith on my neck to remind me to always have faith in myself above anything and 2 intertwining hearts on my inner right wrist, the only tat I completely regret and was a whim.

And in response to Fear is BIG Business, I believe calling people crackwhores is retarded, 'tramp stamp' is an expression of speech, it is a tattoo which makes someone look trampy, a politer way of saying it looks slutty, but then I don't think you know how to be polite, you are rude and pathetic and need to move to another board and let the adults continue.

reply

Thanks kittlez but you're wasting your time trying to knock some manners into that person. Ignoring Fear is the only thing that works so far. I believe tats are a personal preference too and it bothers me when people(guys especially)try to tell women they are wrong to have them and they are whores and what not. I especially can't stand the guys I've heard say they'll dump their girlfriends on the spot if they ever got a tattoo. LIVE AND LET LIVE!!!!!!

reply

Well even though you know what "tramp stamp" slightly means I'll give you credit unlike the rest of these PURE RETARDS.

reply

Well, we knew that about you after your first post, so there's no need to overstate the obvious.

You're a child. Too bad you don't have anything to offer, aside from alot of name calling. That's the hallmark of churlish, infantile agitators with no voice in the world. You really don't have anything intelligent to say, do you, little boy? That's why you hang out on iMDB while you roll your feces into little balls and hurl them at the walls of the Internet.

Just eat them, from now on. What's your problem, anyway? Your mommy doesn't love you? Big surprise, there.

reply

I honestly can't stop laughing at all you RETARDS who don't understand the word "Tramp" (like many "small words" ) nor and how it relates to the term "tramp stamp".

So please go on...

Dark Knight is the worst movie ever. The villain died before it even came out.

reply

That's really the very best you can do with your limited vocabulary, is to call someone a retard? Fourth grade must be giving you a really hard time, loser.

Your pathetic attempt to portray everyone here that doesn't agree with you as being unintelligent is really lame, especially considering your total lack of any eloquence, whatsoever, like most of the hateful kinds of Americans of your ilk. If you had the first inkling what you're talking about, you'd have read that I don't like tattoos. The difference between you and me being (aside from your very obvious lack of maturity or ability to express yourself), is that you're just an @sshole about it.

So, why don't you go back to your bedroom and jerk yourself off until mommy calls you for dinner, and STFU, you dimwitted moron? You think that your emoticons make you clever, or something? You're just a childish imbecile, and you really need to quit making a public spectacle of yourself.

You're a fool. If you were anything close to resembling a man, you'd email me your address, so that we could settle this man-to-child, you infantile, oafish wuss. But, instead, you're just a coward, taking cheap shots at people you know nothing about. Isn't there a ledge you should be leaning off of, right now?

All you are is a last word freak, you arrogant, little pissant.

reply

BRAVO!!!!! You probably still won't get through to this dipsh*t but what a beautiful effort. There really needs to be more like you in this world, sliptdisk. I really respect a person who can state their opinion without telling people with an opposite view that they're wrong and trying everything to make them see things their way. It's really okay to disagree. There is no right or wrong, good or bad when it comes to this topic. There are just opinions and personal preferences. Unless you're a creature known online as FEAR, then the " If you don't have anything nice to say, shut the *beep* up and go back to your playpen." rule applies.

reply

Oh man this 5 year old is just hilarious as hell and so "manly and dignified" with fighting threats over the internet. I honestly just can't stop laughing.

AND I imagine that is that other retard "lucky999999" or whatever it is I had a REAL fun time to laughing at on here before... too bad I CAN'T read it's "message" since it's blocked and doesn't display it.

reply

I hate that term "Tramp Stamp" it's stupid. People used to say, "I have a tattoo on my lower back or the small of my back" and now they say tramp stamp as if it means the girl is a whore. That's messed up even if people don't mean it that way but still use the term it's derogatory. Meanings change too, we all know that the original meaning of what a tramp is and what it is used for.

"Seriously, it's a matter of self-respect. I just don't think that it's something that people who have a healthy image of themselves would feel a need to do in the first place."

I do respect your overall dislike of tattoos, I know they're not everyone's cup of tea, and of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but to say that every woman (and does this apply to men as well?) with a tattoo has no self respect... that is a very broad generalisation, which I find offensive. I'm tattooed myself, not heavily so, but each of my tattoos has a very important meaning to me. Many people get inked to represent past struggles (overcoming drug addiction, etc.), and therefore to remind them of what they are capable of achieving. To me, this is a very positive thing to get permanently etched on your body.
My newest tattoo is in memory of my late father, and I got that out of love and respect to him. To imply that I have low self respect because of this, I do find very insulting.

"As for the poster who described his interest in tattoos as being an extension of his artistic side, I respond by saying, "Uh, no ... it's not art, just because someone drew it." I do believe that tattooing is art. To be fair, there are some very bad tattoo artists today, but there are also many amazing ones. There is a huge difference between a tattoo of "Woody Woodpecker smoking a joint on somebody's calf" and the work of someone like, for example, Shige (my favourite artist - his work amazes me) from Yellow Blaze in Japan. Some examples of his art: (I have a severe lack of html knowlege, so they're unclickable. Sorry.)

im an example on how tattoos DO NOT change you.
okay well maybe a little.
anyone who knows me will tell you i am the most UNLIKELY person to ever get a tattoo but i have one. on my left shoulder blade :)

they say you get tattoos to express something big happening in your life or something that happened (duh!) i didnt know at the time but now i realise i got it after a life changing moment. and it definitely relates to that :)

whats interesting is that i fly to and from the place i use to live and my home town...now..one crowd is more accepting and in fact not in the least bit phased about the tatt..and the other crowd (otherwise known as my preppy bitches) were a little taken aback :( but still they love me, it just kinda made me think.

its a goddamn ink mark on my body. whats the big deal?!
there are FAR WORSE things i could do with my body then to adorn it with art.

and yea my grammar in this post is terrible..not a proper sentence in sight

A person can get a tattoo where they want to. Who are you to say that a person is a cheap party whore! It is a personal thing where and what people get.If you don't like tattoos on women that is your right but don't insult women that have them by calling them names.

reply

Hey *beep* moron learn what the word tramp means and all the "women" who get this *beep* are whores.

reply

First of all.. A person can get a tattoo anywhere they want. Lower back is a popular area for a tattoo, as is the upper back, it just so happened that the LBT's got popular because chicks could show them off easier and cover them up just as easily. If you're going to call the wearer of the ink a "tramp", actually prove it to yourself first before judging people. If you got ink, you probably know how people look at it..

I like tattoos on girls. I just don't like crappy tattoos (on guys AND girls), and a lot of girls get crappy tattoos. A lot of them seem too afraid to get a real one, so they get a trendy butterfly or a flower that's an inch high on their ankles, lower back, or shoulder. While I applaud their desire for a tattoo... It comes off as uninspired, unoriginal, and flat out lame. I like women that like tattoos for what they are.

reply

IMO, the tramp stamp is the worst popular place. Of course, I don't go for face tattoos, but realistically, the tramp stamp is my least favorite. I'm married and if my wife strongly decided she wanted one, I'd support her despite not going for them--though luckily for me she hates them, too.

Like caressque said, I'm also not a fan of crappy tattoos. Yes, I know that this is strictly an opinion, but I also feel like butterfly tattoos as lame. They do come off very unoriginal and boring. Same with tribal tattoos. Nonetheless, I have an anchor tattoo, which is used as a tribute for my gran'dad, but still just as common or moreso than the butterfly or tribal.

A lot of people would probably dislike my tattoos and the ones I go for (usually very Americana/1930's/1940's) so it's a too-each-his-own situation, but for my answer, it's the tramp stamp. No thank you.

One of my favorite places a woman can get a tattoo is on her upper arm provided it's not too outrageous and femenin. Also, if she has cute arms. My wife is from Spain and has a beautiful flemenco dancer on her upper arm and it's actually very sexy on her.

reply

funny enough, the one place i dislike tattoos on women is the upper arm... i dunno, i never liked them there, seemed more masculine to me somehow (although i have seen a couple of really nice ones; geisha girls and peacocks and flowery pieces, etc)...
i hate the term "tramp stamp", but i'm also not fond of those tattoos either, lol.... i must say, i am female with 4 tattoos--stomach, inner ankle, upper thigh and lower back, not in the middle but on the left side... next week i'm getting a piece on my right hand/wrist....

to each his own--if you don't like tattoos fine, but breaking up with someone over one is a bit much as well, unless of course they turned into a kat von d over the space of a few months... something that drastic i can understand...

It's mercy, compassion and forgiveness I lack. Not rationality...
