If you liked this one...

I am a very harsh critic of films. And I am particularly critical of independent films. I have seen some sorry excuses that bare that name. Many very self-indulgent and amateur.

I have, I guess, seen thousands in my 62 years on this earth. All kinds of films from Hollywood to indies and I have to tell you this one is a rare treat. First and foremost, really outstanding writing. There is not as much dialog here. It is not needed. The actors are all so good that much of the emotional impact of the plot is communicated by their expressions. Often the pauses are more important than the words. It takes a sensitive director, and masterful actors to do that. It has a sly wit that works really well for the story and adds interest to the characters. I was totally entertained and satisfied. This is a good one folks.

Now, if you liked Who Loves The Sun, I suggest you see Tully. Another truly inspired independent film. Not quite as witty but chocked full of mood and believable characters that also does not need a lot of dialog.

I love visual films and both of these are right up my alley.
