SHE is mad at HIM?

How many times do we see this ridiculous plot now? The WOMAN cheats but she still gets to be the one that is mad at the man? WTF?! If it is ever the other way around the man spends the rest of the movie begging to get her back.

Meanwhile if a woman cheats... well usually the man spends the rest of the movie trying to get her back... because that makes sense. Nothing is ever their fault.

LOL @ Maggie being mad at Will. Garbage.

And Will APOLOGIZES to her! He literally kisses her butt!!! Utter rubbish.

And she punches him... awesome. I wish he would have beat her ass.

I really can't agree with you on any points. It is a realistic comedy/drama. It is every bit as realistic as real people are, and real people are complicated and often contradictory in behavior. Many films spoon feed you characters who have little in the way of depth or familiarity. I applaud the director, the writers, and especially the actors for really bringing the characters to life

Maybe you are really young and have not lived enough life to see yourself in any of these characters. For myself I see bits and pieces of myself in all the characters and that kind of film is very rare.

For me I guess you could say it had the ring of truth.

I do have to agree with you in that it is the feminist cliché in films now. A man is not allowed anger at a cheating wife if he has done something wrong which has taken him away from the family. He must stuff his feelings or get lectured on how wrong and misguided he is.

You'd have to be an enlightened being not to be pissed off at your wife for that. She does have a perfectly good point, I'm not saying she doesn't, but to deny completely his right to be angry is just the triumph of the political over truth. And it's not like she's trying to be kind about it: when a woman says to her man, "I let him put his *blank* in me" she is trying to hurt him, not enlighten him.

That is the worst possible way for her to say it, and the character knows it. For a man to be reminded of the fact of penetration in that crudest way just begs to be answered in kind. It's a primal scream on his part and should be recognized as such. It's so much politically correct b.s. to make it all his fault.

I did not understand all this anger either, she cheats on him with his best friend, he snaps and leaves and now he's the bad guy?
