Chicken Soup?
I saw this movie because I recognized it from an short story I read a while ago.. Was this a Chicken Soup for the Soul story?

shareYES IT WAS! I just found it in "Chicken Soup for the Soul" the first book.
shareI haven't read that story (I've perused a book or two in that series, my former apartment mate used to keep them in the bathroom), but it is based on the true success of David MacEnulty and CES 70. Okay, so Danson looks like a movie star, and MacEnulty looks like a chessplayer, what did you expect? :-)
In looking everybody up on google and IMDB, I find out that MacEnulty now teaches at presigious rich kid private school Dalton. Oh, well. I seem to remember seeing some web site about this movie though, that told what the members of the team have gone on to, and it was as Chicken Soup as the movie. They've mostly done quite well.
