question here lars is fry only older but his not stupid we

Lars is fry right? But why is lars not stupid he is fry only older

reply

Maybe because he was a lot older, and maybe had more time to become refined and learned over the years. Not to mention having matured quite a bit.

Rough estimate Lars/Older Fry would have at least been in his early to mid 40's, by the time he met Lila at the head museum.

a person can change a lot attitude wise from their mid 20's/early 30's,to their 40's.Some people are unrecognizable from their younger selves.Whether that means they become better or worse then they once were.

Your right lars is 12 years older so should be more mature than fry but should not be more intelligent. Fry is borderline retarded and lars seems intelligent if your stupid at 23 you'll be stupid at 35.

reply

Agreed. Don't confuse intelligence for maturity.

Why people could be fooled was because Lars displayed more brains than Fry ever did.

reply

Did he, though? What did Lars do to actually show his intelligence?

Applied Science? All science is applied. Eventually.

reply

Fry showed that when he actually focused his mind to something he was interested in, he could do it fairly competently. He is immature and easily distracted which is what leads to his stupidity. He is never going to be an intellectual but when focused, he can achieve things.

Part of the paradox, also, was that Fry knew what Lars was going to do in a lot of situations because he knew him before he became him. The reasons he becomes Lars is because he runs away from Lars in the future.
