Age appropriate?

My 6 year old son is a big fan of the bionicle toys, and has seen the ads for this movie and wants to watch it. My concern is that it looks a little dark and scary for a six year old, but it's often hard to tell from just the previews. Are there any other parents out there who can give their opinion on this?

thanks,

I think that you can let him watch it. 6 years is enough, because Bionicle movies are very kid-friendly. They have a very little amount of violent scenes.
If you still aren't sure, watch the movie with him. I'm sure he could watch it alone, though, because he's probably seen a lot worse in TV...

I know I'm way behind here, and hopefully you've gone ahead and let your son watch the movies, but just to put my two cents in both of my sons (ages 5 and 7) love them. They have intense moments, but nothing bad and the underlying themes of friendship and honor are very well done. The music is really good, too! We've seen all three and I have no qualms with any of them. They're entertaining enough that you could watch them first if you have any doubts. I know I enjoyed them. Parents who feel their kids shouldn't see any violence, even in a cartoonish setting, should probably avoid them though. There isn't blood and guts, but certainly fighting in a sort of kick-boxing, duking it out kind of way.
Hope this helps if you haven't given in yet!
