shareWhich puppets are you refering too? Jack and Mary are kids, not animals. Mel is a dog. They have guest appearance by other animal puppets (usually either a squirrel or some variety of bird).
shareI thought they were animals too...my husband and I were trying to figure it out. We were going with bears. Is there a reference for thinking they're human? Both my kids, ages 3 and 4, think they're animals...they were asking what kind as well.
shareWell, they have human features, not animal features. All the animals on the show have very identifible animal features, Jack and Mary do not. Jack has short hair, Mary has long hair. They both wear clothes and shoes, the majority of the animals who visit do not wear clothes. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure they are just puppets of human children.
