I really hope there will be... great series, so funny. The kiwis finally got something right.

It finished production a coupla weeks ago, or so I hear.
Rumour has it it's screening around the same time next year. That's May/Juneish in New Zealand.
it's great to hear a2nd series is coming. Actually Ted_E we get quite a few things right. In the 70's David McPhail was one half of a damn good series of current affairs satire which still leaves everything for dead this side of Monty Python

I play Prinicpal Roger Dasent in the show, the second series is in post-production now, and by all account looks like topping the first series for laughs. We sure had some fun shooting series 2!
shareWe stumbled onto this series a few weeks ago on the obscure ABC2 channel. What a waste ...if the Australian public had any taste this very funny series would be a ratings leader ... we have just finished watching the school camp episode ... absolutely hilarious. Congratulations to everyone concerned from two devoted Aussie fans.

It is pretty much the funniest thing on Aussie TV and as you say - tucked away on the digital ABC2 even though the 1st series was on ABC1. Sadly, this gives one pause as to the taste of one's fellow countrymen and women doesn't it! Glad to hear that someone else is watching.
Excellent series - I'm just glad that we get to see it at all at the end of the day.

shareI've been keeping a close eye on the ABC, it hasn't been on in Aus yet. I think it was the most brilliant comedy deries I've ever seen. (and I'm not young).
We Aussies are too politicly correct to ever have the guts to make something that bloody funny.
It's been almost a year since that last post... my belief is that the ABC are planning to screen the second series later this year...
shareOne can only hope - this was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on the ABC. Far more laughs per episode than Summer Heights High.
*sigh* the good stuff always gets buried away.
I'm still waiting for the second season to come out on DVD.

FYI - ABC2 in Australia will screen Series 2 from this Thursday, 3 April, 2008 at 10pm. EzyDVD is also advertising that the Series 2 DVD will be released soon.

That is fantastic news - I've missed the 1st episode but I'll be tuning in tomorrow and putting the dvd on order. That's been a long wait but Gormsby is one of the funniest comedies I've seen "down under".
