This Movie was Like a Lesser Ed Wood

ed wood with johnny depp. pretty much a hack director making a terrible low-budget movie. i liked it and it really had me litterally laughing out loud. favorite parts were:

when he kept trying the alcohol over and over again to determine which is water and which is booze and u could see him quickly relapse into his addicition.

and then when he had just stopped pretending he wasnt drinking booze and had a whisky bottle with a water label on it, lol.

lol, the part where he was naked on what i guess was his ex-girlfriend/wife's front lawn all passed out and the dog was licking his ass crack and then took a dump right by his head, lol.

when he has the huge breakdown with his set coordinator because he wants to reset the scene and he looses it and has to be dragged off the set all the while yelling and screaming.

when he decided to turn the movie into a musical and everybody thought he was nutz except for james van der beak who supported him and then he turned around and fired him, lol.

when he had the guy from rent barfing in the dudes hand and then turned around and barfed all over the other actors cause it wouldnt shut off was really really funny.

andy dick is funny when he plays himself. a dilusional drug/alcohol addict. lol

Amen man. This movie had me practically rolling on the floor it was so funny.

Is it strange that I had an erection during that scene?

Very funny movie. If you're one of us who can handle very offensive humor, ignore the low imdb score. For instance, when Danny describes a fellow actor, after trying to choose his words just right, as a "retarded fag," the joke is that Danny happens to be an idiot himself and gay himself. Similarly, Danny says inappropriate things to a black actor because Danny happens to be an idiot, etc.

One of my favorite parts is when Danny is wasting everyone's time in a preproduction meeting trying to decide how he should wear his hair "as a director." Once he gets some of the crew to vote on that (not including the guy who quits the movie over it) -- breaking a model of a set to use it as the thing they put their votes in -- he demonstrates what their hairstyle preference looks like, to try to show them that they made the wrong choice when they voted, and on and on the silliness goes...

Some of the movie is both funny and poignant, such as the song about drugs being even better than love -- but it's always funny.

The extras on the DVD are good too. For instance, in "the huge breakdown with his set coordinator because he wants to reset the scene," a deleted bit has Danny yelling at the set coordinator, "I'll reset your brain!"
