Just saw this on Comedy Central - I liked it
I read this message board prior to watching (as I usually do to evaluate whether or not I'll be wasting my time) and nearly didn't view it due to the many negative comments. In this case, however, I'm glad that I watched it.
Personally, I liked it. Yes, I know that I'm probably in the minority, but I found it bizarrely entertaining. This is not a "feel good" movie - if that's what you like then I suggest that you not watch it. But if you're a fan of black humor, then I think it's worth a view, especially if you are at all familiar with addiction and/or rehab. The simple fact is that only 1 in 10 successfully maintains a sober life, and this film depicts that in an exaggerated statement. Honestly, I'd rather see something like this than a film that sugar coats addiction and wraps with a happy ending. Realistically, that's a fairy tale that has little to do with reality.
Ok, Andy Dick may be a wanker, I don't know him but that seems to be the consensus here. I'm not saying that he's the poster child for great PR or sanity, but I enjoyed this endeavor. I'm merely suggesting that his film is viewed with an open mind and enjoyed for the brand of humor that it represents.
